The dahlia patch is still putting out, despite our crazy weather and the fact that half of the supports broke after a storm a few weeks back. They look like a dahlia ground cover. I haven't put much focus on the garden as of late, but hopefully I'll get some time to spruce her up soon. Who else is looking forward to camellia season!?!

It's that time of year where everything in the gar

It's that time of year where everything in the garden looks tired from all this Georgia heat and humidity. Most of my dahlias are flopping on the ground because the heavy rains broke all of my twine supports. I don't have it in me this late in the game to reanchor them all. They have finally fallen victim to powdery mildew just like the zinnias inevitably do.

So when you see a perfectly curated garden feed, just know that it's not always glorious blooms as far as the eye can see. That gardener has to fight tooth and nail to battle pests, disease, and mother nature on the regular. Sometimes you just have to let it be and wait for another season. 💚
