I wanted to retain the authentic feel of these photos without feeling like my scrapbook layout was “old fashioned” so I chose these fun, colorful retro colors. Polka dots never go out of style, and while salmon can be hit or miss at any given time, it contrasts very nicely with the teal for a slightly funky punch. I don’t recall the brand for the polka dot paper, but the salmon cardstock is Bazzill Basics Arroyo. I cut the text boxes out using my cricut (tear drop cartridge). The butterflies were cut out using varying size paper punches and then placing similar color teal velvet ribbon in the center. A little hand journaling for a personal effect, a few miscellaneous details, and voila a funky/retro/summery layout!
